Here are some good reasons why I use headphones with my guitar amps:<\/p>\n
Here’s a really good example.\u00a0 I was practicing playing a Metallica song but the amp I was going to use didn’t have a headphone jack.\u00a0 I really wanted to hear what it would sound like and whether it would match the song using a real backing track.\u00a0 Because my daughter didn’t sleep well, she laid down early in the evening so I had to wait until the next day.\u00a0 \u00a0This is where having a headphone solution would have paid off.<\/p>\n
There are really 2 options for headphones.<\/p>\n
A lot of the solid state and modeling combo amps will have headphone jacks.\u00a0 Note, that you will not see this very often on a tube amp because of the way the technology.\u00a0 Tube amps generally require a speaker load. You can actually damage a tube amp by operating it without a speaker being hooked up.\u00a0 \u00a0So lets go over these options.<\/p>\n
